Evening Prayer: Lord, would You counsel me in the night hours? Then I’ll awake refreshed and braver. I believe You desire our lives to brim over with purposeful meaning. I await your counsel. Amen.

Morning Prayer: Wonderful Counselor, speak Your words into my spirit. Loose me from my shallow routines. I keep falling headlong into the pit of habit. I want to change, but I need a Samaritan’s hand to pull me out of this familiar pit.

Morning Scripture: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2

Evening Scripture: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” – Galatians 6:9-10

Evening Prayer: Lord, in this whirlwind world give me eyes to see Your high calling, ears to hear Your wooing voice, and restraint to keep me from careening off Your path. Amen.
