I mentioned in a previous post that Jamie was preparing to start teaching English again here in our apartment.

Since her class is starting with nine students, we moved her classroom from the office to our guest bedroom.  We turned the office into the guest bedroom.  There’s no closet in the office but guests don’t necessarily need a closet, and that room provides more privacy and it’s quieter.

Please pray for Jamie as she will begin teaching tonight.

On another subject, there is something that has been coming to my mind recently that I want to share.

God tells us in Ephesians 6:11-13 “Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm”.  (NASB)

I understand this.  Satan has been deceiving and attacking Christians for centuries.  We should not underestimate him.  God tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour”. (NASB)

With that said, here’s what came to me, pretty much every book and movie about good and evil portrays each as equal.  In fact, most portray evil as more powerful and good only wins by miracle.

I would say that don’t understand how this came about but I know that, currently, the devil has a lot of power in this world.  The writers of books, tv and movies are definitely influenced by him.

Once again, it’s a lie.  Yes, the devil is powerful, but let me be clear, the devil is not a God.  And he is not equal to God.

When the time comes, and I have no doubt that it will come, the outcome will not be barely won like some high anxiety moment that no one knows to the last second about who will win.

Nope, from the very beginning it is all clear.  God is God and He has no equal.  His will prevails.

The only real high anxiety is over how many choose to not believe.
