Evening Scripture: Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. – Ephesians 5:1-2

May we stand in the gap for our husbands… Cover them in prayer, speak life over them, lift them up to the One Who is able to lead them, strengthen them, refine them, encourage them, use them for His glory and His kingdom.

Father, God, convict our hearts when we take our husbands for granted. May we appreciate them, respect them, love them, encourage them, and support them…

“If once you have slept on an island,

You’ll never be quite the same,

You may look as you looked before

and go by the same old name.

You may hustle about in street and shop,

You may sit at home and sew,

But you’ll see blue water and wheeling gulls

Wherever your feet may go.” ~ Rachel Field

The Lord reigns forever; He has established His throne for judgment. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. – Psalm 9:8-10
