Lord, we thank You for doing exceedingly abundantly more than we could ask or think. Let Your shalom (peace to the chaos) and holy fire rest upon the Honduran people. We ask that You rebuke their enemy. Where there has been unrest and violence, we ask that You flood them with Your peace and love. Whatever the enemy has meant for evil toward the Honduran people, we are praising You for turning it to good. Make a way where it looks like there is no way. Overtake Your people placing a holy boldness in them. Meet with them. You are their hope. The hope of the nations. We praise You for drawing Your people unto You. Let holiness and righteousness rise up in unprecedented ways. Let them bring You glory. Let them be a sign to the Nations of who You are. We speak Life and love to them. Raise up those you have called to intercede on the behalf of Honduras. Give them the faith of God to pray Your will. Keep them hidden beneath Your wings and feathers. Let them clearly hear Your voice and declare Your will into the land and people. We declare it to be a prosperous land. A land that will give up its resources. A land that will have an abundance of pure water and abundant fruits and vegetables. Healthy livestock. Abundance, abundance, abundance! Praise You, Holy God!!! We will shout from the rooftops of what You were willing to do for them!!! –

Honduras update: a winner of the election was announced tonight. Many are very upset at the results that were shared. Major blockages of roads and protests are happening right now. Please pray for all the people of Honduras. There are a lot of missionaries here who are joining you in that prayer. I share this not out of fear or anxiety, but with the hope we find in Christ for peace, grace and truth to cover this wonderful nation. As the world prepares for Christmas, Honduras is in a state of crisis and uncertainty, chaos and protest. Honduras needs a covering of prayer. If you will join us, please simply hit like. Let’s pray in unity for evil to be thwarted and God’s plans to be victorious over this great nation to our south.

If you are having trouble understanding why Honduras is in such turmoil… adding to the bad communication with lack of power etc … imagine this …. The winning side got 42.95% of the vote while the opposition was very close at 41.42%. Now add to this is the first time in history a President can serve a second-term and the people have little trust in their government and feel unheard…

From our Honduran group that we belong to…

Good morning everyone,

I wanted to share with you some information so that, if possible you could take today to prepare. I want to stress the PROBABILITY of what I am going to share, though the certainty of it may not be 100%. In these times, let us be ready for what may come without fearing what may come.

I received two documents this morning from two different people stating about the same thing. This week we face MAY be worse than what has come so far, as those groups who are opposed to reelection are joining together to confront the issue through demonstrations, road blocks, marches, etc. The plan seems to be to cause havoc in many different sectors of larger cities in order to keep the police, military police, and military running around from here to there in an effort to wear them out. The plan, starting tomorrow at 6 am is to take control of roadways, block land borders and ports with the goal of paralyzing the country economically. They appear to be wanting to mount a nationwide insurrection.

Monday or Tuesday, it is possible that the announcement of the election will be made.

Again, this is a report I received, not 100% confirmed facts. We will do our best to keep you informed.

So, first of all #DONTPANICPRAY

Pray that

1. The plans of God will be realized. That He gets the glory. That His Kingdom advances. That His people march on in victory.

2. Satan and his kingdom’s plans would be defeated. That the strongholds, principalities, and powers over this nation would be broken. Pray against fear, chaos, and confusion.

3. For the police and military, for unity in their ranks, clear communication, strength, courage, protection and wisdom.

4. Pray for the safety of individuals, businesses, and homes.

5. Pray against civil war. Honduras has yet to have one. Now is not the time to change that.

6. Pray as you are led by God.

We were called here for a purpose. Remain available to God to fulfill that purpose. Keep ministering, even if you are confined to your neighborhood or even your home. God always makes a way for His plans to be accomplished. We are facing possible times that will not be for the faint of heart and faith.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph 6:10-13)

Standing Strong with You,

Praise God, for He is always faithful.  This afternoon I went to the Court Boys Bible Study.  This week as I was preparing for what I was going to share with the boys I was praying and asking God to forgive me for dreading Thursday afternoon.

I love sharing God’s Word and I truly believe God is working through the CBBS.  However, I do not believe teaching is one of my gifts.  I constantly think of James 3:1 “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgement.”

I regularly tell the boys to read it for themselves; not to just believe what I tell them.

On one hand I want them to know what the Bible says, what it means and what it means for each of us.

On the other hand, what if I, no matter how well meaning, teach something incorrectly?

At the men’s bible studies I attend each Tuesday and Saturday we often talk about how one of the most difficult things about teaching God’s Word here in Honduras is that we must first un-teach all the wacky things they’ve been taught by others.  I don’t want to be one of those others.

The AWANA theme verse “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15) is also regularly running through my mind.  I want to not only teach it correctly but also teach it so that it can be understood and applied.

One last thing that runs through my mind; which is my saving grace, is “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth, It shall not return to me void, But it shall accomplish what I please.” Isaiah 55:11

Which means I am not responsible for the results, God is.  My service is to obey.

All scripture quoted here is from my NKJV Bible
